New Trustees and Helpers wanted

We recently advertised for new trustees, and were pleased that Ellie Lyon and Vincent Benson joined the management committee. We remain keen to hear from further local people who would like to support this remarkable organisation and its work, whether that help is through the committee or by practical help, for example, with experience in building maintenance. Annual General Meeting of Muswell Hill Centre

The AGM of the MHC Charity took place at the Centre at 7pm on Tuesday 9 January 2024.

Application for energy saving and carbon cutting

At the beginning of January 2024, we applied to Haringey Council's Community Carbon Fund for a feasibility study to produce recommendations for improving the energy efficiency of the Centre, and installing solar panels and a heat pump. If successful, we would use the results of the feasibility study, to apply to London or National funding schemes for the costs of carrying out the work recommended.

As managers of the Centre, trustees need to keep costs down. But just as important, and arguably even more so, we are a community organisation, and have a responsibility to play our part in cutting carbon emissions. Our involvement with so many young people and their families, and local businesses, means we have the opportunity to help inform and encourage others to act too.

Many thanks!
